1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the Snap Yakka platform ("the Service") operated by Snap Yakka (ABN 85 101 589 024) ("we", "us", or "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Snap Yakka provides structural engineering design software for cantilever storage racks. The Service generates structural analysis results, 3D models, and fabrication drawings based on user-supplied parameters.

The Service is intended to assist qualified engineers and fabricators and does not replace independent professional engineering judgement. All outputs must be reviewed and verified by a suitably qualified structural engineer before use in construction or fabrication.

3. Engineering Disclaimer

Important: The structural analysis, section selections, and drawings produced by Snap Yakka are generated programmatically and are provided for indicative and design-assist purposes only.

  • Outputs are based on AS4100 and AS/NZS steel section standards, but cannot account for all site-specific conditions.
  • You are solely responsible for verifying that all outputs comply with applicable standards, building codes, and local regulations.
  • Snap Yakka makes no warranty that outputs are free from error or are suitable for any particular purpose.
  • Snap Yakka accepts no liability for loss, damage, injury, or death arising from the use or misuse of outputs from the Service.

4. User Responsibilities

By using the Service, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate input parameters reflecting actual design requirements.
  • Have outputs reviewed by a suitably qualified structural engineer before use.
  • Comply with all applicable laws, standards, and workplace health and safety regulations.
  • Not use the Service for any unlawful purpose.
  • Not attempt to reverse engineer, copy, or reproduce the Service or its underlying algorithms.

5. Intellectual Property

All software, algorithms, source code, design documents, and methodologies underlying the Service are the exclusive intellectual property of Snap Yakka. Nothing in these Terms grants you any licence to the underlying technology.

Fabrication drawings and 3D models generated by the Service from your input parameters are provided for your use, subject to these Terms.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Australian law, Snap Yakka's total liability to you for any claim arising from your use of the Service shall not exceed the amount paid by you for the Service in the twelve months preceding the claim.

In no event shall Snap Yakka be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profit, loss of data, or business interruption.

7. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Snap Yakka, its directors, employees, and agents from any claim, damage, loss, or expense (including legal costs) arising from your use of the Service, your breach of these Terms, or your violation of any applicable law or third-party right.

8. Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

9. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be effective upon posting to this page. Your continued use of the Service after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Western Australia, Australia. You submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Western Australia.
